Frostbite

The year is 1964, North Vietnamese naval vessels attack two American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin leading to an open involvement of the United States in the Vietnam war, despite heavy protest and threats of retaliation by the USSR. As the world descends into the jaws of World War III, an Antarctic research outpost has gone silent due to radio malfunction. Due to the ongoing situation in Vietnam the US 7th fleet West Pacific has been reassigned and manpower as well as resources are scarce. A team has been assembled in New Zealand to repair the radio.
