Blades,

your cell is now activated. You are to rendezvous at Hive Desoleum at the proscribed safe-house. Secure void-transport from your current location and arrive promptly.

There are increasing reports of horrible deaths within the hive’s upper levels, with odd items of a possible xenos or archaeotech nature found with each corpse. You are tasked with the Emperor’s Work: to investigate the deaths and possible connections to any illicit artifacts, determine if they are potential dangers of a wider nature, and terminate their distribution. Recover and contain any items uncovered, lest they corrupt others. Carry the Emperor’s Light with you throughout the hive, for there is little proper illumination to be found in this festering, ancient edifice. Desoleum teeters on the blade’s edge of damnation, and one further heresy could topple the entire hive into the abyss.

As this is your first task under my service, I would have you take time to review the system and the planet's dossier to prepare yourselves. Look for it in the attached data archive. It is imperative that your group remains concealed as servants of the Inquisition. There are many interested parties that will be watching for Inquisitorial agents, do not expose yourselves as thus unless no other option is available.
