Beria's manor

In 19th century France life is a day to day struggle. Wars, revolutions, disease, famine and crime have taken countless lives and people do what they must to survive. Some are more capable than others, like rats they hide in the cracks of society, clawing their way from one day to the next. Some are less sinister but more enduring, cherishing what little blessings they have.

However an unusual dense mist slowly settles, so quiet a man can hear himself breathe. And so eerie, he wonders if these are his last breaths.
